Forus Elektro Automatikk AS (Stavanger) and Acel AS (Ålesund) is establishing a company in Brazil mainly to serve the offshore marine market related to fabrication and delivery of electrical services, electrical equipment and services.
Forus Elektro Automation AS was established in 1990 and is today one of the largest and leading suppliers of electrical panels. We currently export our products all over the world through our customers and partners. The company produces all types of electrical panels for offshore, marine, industrial, hospitals, railways, airports, schools and the construction industry in general. Our services are design, production, certification, programming, testing and service.
Acel AS is a turnkey electro supplier with operations in both onshore market locally and in the marine market world-wide. Important activities include electro total deliveries to shipyards in connection with ship building and service and rebuilding services to ships worldwide. Acel AS has on its list of references overall responsibility for the electrification of more than 60 offshore service vessels of various types, many of which are among the most advanced vessels of its type ever built in the world.
The market in Brazil for power-related services and supplies in connection with the construction and operation of oil and gas related vessels and platforms are very large, and the continued strong growth. Many Norwegian companies and shipping companies are already well established and are important players in the Brazilian offshore market.
Brazilian demands for local content in supplies to the oil industry in the country makes it difficult to serve this market from our Norwegian companies and a local establishment is a necessity as we are considering it says Eystein Krohn Dale Acel AS and Knut Husebø in Forus Elektro Auto AS.
